Tucson, AZ (August 2, 2020) – An automobile accident reported on Friday evening resulted in injuries and delays in the Tucson area. On July 31, officers with the Tucson Police Department were requested to the site of a collision on East Grant Road.

Reports provide by authorities show that a white Volkswagen Beetle and a second white sedan collided on East Grant Road near the intersection with North Rainbow Vista Drive. The impact of the collision sent the Beetle off the side of the road where it came to rest partially on the sidewalk. The second white sedan continued forward and came to rest on top of the concrete median in the center of East Grant Road.

At least one person involved in this crash was injured. Medical personnel responded to the scene of the crash to render aid to injured victims. An unknown number of victims were transported from the scene of the accident to area hospitals for further medical assistance. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
