Tucson, AZ (July 24, 2020) – An accident early Thursday morning claimed the life of one woman in the Tucson area. At 3:45 a.m., on July 23, the Tucson Fire Department and officers from the Operations Division Midtown were called to the site of a collision on Golf Links Road.

Officers arrived at the scene of the serious-injury collision at the intersection of Golf Link Road and Craycroft Road. Reports provided by Traffic Detectives show that 29-year-old Stephanie S. O’Hanlon was walking across Golf Links Road near the intersection when she was struck by a vehicle. Further investigations found that a red four-door Subaru was traveling west on Gold Links Road, in the middle lane, behind a dark-colored SUV, followed by a gray Volkswagen.

The driver of the Subaru spotted an object that come from underneath the SUV. The object was then struck by the Subaru and the Volkswagen. The drivers of the Subaru and the Volkswagen both stopped just west of the intersection to see what the object was. After identifying the object as a person, they immediately called for help. O’Hanlon was fatally injured in the crash and immediately declared deceased. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
