Tucson, AZ (October 20, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Pima County claimed one person’s life on Monday. At approximately 1:45 p.m., on October 19, the Tucson Police Department and Tucson Fire Department responded to the site of a vehicle collision on North Kolb Road.

Reports provided by the police show that a crash involving a black sedan and a second vehicle collided on North Kolb Road by East Broadway Boulevard, in front of Little Anthony’s Diner. The impact of the crash caused the black sedan to roll over and come to rest on its side.

Two people were trapped inside one vehicle. A third victim was ejected in the crash. Authorities arrived at the site of the incident and began to render aid to those in need. Firefighters were able to remove the trapped victims. However, one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An unknown number of victims were transported to area hospitals for further treatment of injuries following the crash. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
