Tucson, AZ (October 5, 2020) – An accident on Friday evening left one person seriously injured. On October 2, the Tucson Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on East Golf Links Road.

Reports show that a motorcyclist was traveling through the intersection of East Gold Links Road and Hearthstone Drive when they were struck by a vehicle that made a left turn and pulled out in front of them. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving the injured rider in the road.

With the assistance of Air Support and K9, police were able to locate the driver of the second vehicle. The driver was found to be impaired at the time of the accident. They were apprehended and booked into the Pima County Jail. They are facing multiple felonies. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
