Tucson, AZ – Martin Derrig Killed in Scooter Crash on E Prince Rd

Tucson, AZ (June 28, 2020) – An auto accident Wednesday morning involving a scooter rider claimed one victim’s life in Tucson. At approximately 10:30 a.m., on June 24, the Tucson Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on East Prince Road.

Reports from police show that 62-year-old Martin Derrig was traveling east on Prince Road when he was struck by a 2009 Hyundai Sonata as he approached First Avenue. Derrig suffered critical injuries in the accident. He was rushed to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
