Tucson, AZ (May 8, 2020) – An auto accident reported on Thursday evening resulted in injuries.

On May 7, at 4:45 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on South 12^th Avenue.

Reports from the Tucson Police Department show that a motor vehicle collision occurred along South 12^th Avenue at the intersection with West 43^rd Street due to a driver traveling at an unsafe speed. The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles involved to rollover, trapping one occupant inside.

The victim had to be extricated by firefighters. At least one person involved in this collision sustained injuries.  The injured victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Police are actively investigating the cause of this collision.
