Sahuarita, AZ (October 11, 2020) – An accident in Pima County on Tuesday left two people injured. On October 8, the Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 19.

Reports show that an SUV was traveling on Interstate 19, at a high rate of speed just before 4 p.m. As the vehicle approached the area of Pima Mine Road, it struck a van, which was pulling a trailer. The impact of the crash caused a chain reaction collision that sent the SUV rolling onto its roof. The van ended up on its side after coming to rest in the median.

Two people involved in the crash were injured. Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. At this time, DPS is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
