Pedestrian Accidents in Arizona
In 2018, statistics show that 1,764 pedestrians were involved in motor vehicle crashes throughout the state of Arizona. The number of pedestrian accidents continues to increase each year, leaving numerous victims with life-altering injuries that require extensive medical treatment. These accidents often result in critical and life-threatening injuries, especially when SUVs and other large vehicles are involved. Victims harmed in pedestrian accidents often require emergency surgery, hospitalization, and therapy. Many injured pedestrians require hospitalization and suffer from broken bones, spinal cord injuries, and other traumatic injuries that have a debilitating impact on their lives.
Due to the fact that pedestrians are exposed during collisions, they are more likely to sustain injuries that require long-term treatment. Regardless of the number of treatment options available, there is no promise that victims are going to fully recover from their injuries. Many victims never truly recover from their injuries. Instead, they are left permanently disabled from their injuries and forced to endure lifelong pain and suffering.
