Tucson, AZ (September 23, 2020) – An accident in the Tucson area sent one woman to an area hospital for treatment. On September 23, the Tucson Police Department responded to the scene of a serious accident on East Grant Road.

Reports show that a woman was crossing East Grant Road in front of the Devon Gables Assisted Living Facility when she was struck by a vehicle.

The crash resulted in the closure of East Grant Road between the intersection of East Grant Road and Sahuara Avenue and the intersection of East Grant Road and North Wilmont Road.

The woman was rendered aid at the scene of the accident and rushed to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. No one else was injured in this accident.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the accident and spoke with law enforcement. At this time, investigations are underway.
