Tucson, AZ (August 9, 2020) – An automobile accident late Saturday evening left one person seriously injured in the Tucson area. Just after 11:30 p.m., on August 8, the Tucson Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on South Kolb Road.

Reports provided by police show that a motorcyclist was traveling through the intersection of South Kolb Road and East 22^nd Street when they were struck by a vehicle going approximately 100 miles per hour. The rider sustained critical and life-threatening injuries in the accident. The victim was transported via air support to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
