Tucson, AZ – Fedyst Fomeche Killed in Drunk Driving Accident on S Wilmot Rd
Tucson, AZ (June 27, 2020) – A drunk driver caused an accident on Wednesday that claimed one victim’s life. During the early morning hours of June 24, the Tucson Police Department was called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on South Wilmot Road.
Reports from authorities show that 28-year-old Fedyst Fomeche was traveling south on Wilmot Street when he was rear-ended by a second vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Jeremy Jay Sims, near the intersection with 19th Street. Sims fled the scene of the accident but was later apprehended.
Fomeche sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased. Sims was found to be impaired at the time of the accident and was charged with 2nd-degree murder. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
