Tucson, AZ (August 26, 2020) – A bicycle accident in the Tucson area sent one victim to an area hospital for treatment of injuries on late Monday evening. At approximately 10 p.m., on August 24, the Tucson Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS responded to the scene of an automobile accident on East Tanque Verde Road.

Reports provided by local news sources show that a bicyclist was traveling on East Tanque Verde Road near the split with East Wrightstown Road when the collision occurred. The bicyclist sustained injuries in the accident. Medical personnel tended to the injured victim at the scene of the accident. The rider was then transported from the scene of the accident to an area hospital for further treatment of injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation with the police in Tucson.
