Green Valley, AZ – One Killed & One Injured in Truck Crash on I-19
Green Valley, AZ (October 26, 2020) – An auto accident reported in Pima County claimed one person’s life and left a second victim seriously injured. At approximately 12:45 p.m., on October 22, the Green Valley Fire District responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 19.
Reports from authorities show that a white passenger vehicle and a semi-truck collide on Interstate 19 near Duval Mine Road. The crash caused significant damage to the sedan. Police and firefighters secured the area to prevent further injuries to those involved.
One person was removed from the sedan and pronounced deceased at the scene. A second victim was rushed to Banner University Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the crash. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
