Drexel Heights, AZ (September 1, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Sunday morning claimed one man’s life in Pima County. At approximately 7 a.m., on August 30, emergency crews in Pima County responded to the scene of a crash on Valencia Road.

Reports provided by authorities show that a minivan and a motorcycle collided on Valencia Road at the intersection with Ignacio M Baumea. The crash resulted in severe damages to the vehicles involved.

The rider on the motorcycle, 47-year-old Jose Arvizu, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Despite life-saving efforts, he was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the minivan, 44-year-old Mario Humo, was uninjured in the accident. Humo was subsequently charged with manslaughter. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
